But as the days of
Noah were so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Matthew 24:37(NKJV)
Christ will come in a day
which will be like the days of Noah. Noah lived before
the flood. Like Noah we are end time believers. Noah
spoke of coming rain to that generation, we the
believers speaks about the coming of the Lord to this
generation.
What was it like in Noah's day?
I just take you to Genesis chapter six, there we will
see four parallels between Noah's day and the days
in which we live.
In the days of Noah, abnormal
sexual practices abounded.
There were giants on the earth in those days, and also
afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters
of men and they bore children to them. Those were the
mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4
(NKJV)
In the days
of Noah the imagination of man was evil.
Then the Lord saw that the
wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually. Genesis 6:5 (NKJV)
In the days of Noah violence
filled the earth.
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was
filled with violence. Genesis 6:11 (NKJV)
In the days of Noah there was a
population explosion.
Now it came to pass,
when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and
daughters were born to them, Genesis 6:1 (NKJV)
Although Noah was working on his ark and preaching to
the people for one hundred and twenty years, they didn't
listen.
The days of Noah were
characterized by gross immorality.
People in
Noah day lived as though God did not exist. They did not
believe that He would judge them, and they scorned the
warning that a flood was imminent. In light of
end times, Jesus instructs us to be faithful servants
and watchful.
