February 2018 |
February 1 "Do not
judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be
judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. For just as you
judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and
criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you
[use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you"
(Matthew 7:1-2, AMP).
Keep God on your mind, even when
the lifestyles other people don't agree with your own. Strive to
see people through God's eyes. He will reward you for sharing
His compassion with others.
February 2
"They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were
not ashamed" (Psalm 34:5).
God promised to give you
double for the trouble you experience. Trust in Him. You will
not be put to shame.
February 3
"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the
desires and secret petitions of your heart" (Psalm 37:4, AMP).
When you delight in the Lord, you accept His will above your
own. Make Him your life and He will give you everything you ask
for and more.
February 4 "Deliver me
from my enemies, O my God; defend and protect me from those who
rise up against me" (Psalm 59:1, AMP).
Everyone
encounters trouble at one time or another. Allow God to protect
you. He promised to avenge you. Don't get back at your enemies
by planning their punishment. Cry out to God and He will move on
your behalf.
February 5 "Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you" (James 4:7).
When you submit to speaking His
Word in troubled times, you strip the devil of his influences in
your life. God has given you the victory! Resist the devil in
the name of Jesus and the enemy will flee.
February 6 Obey those who rule over you, and be
submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must
give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for
that would be unprofitable for you. Heb 13:17 NKJ
The
task of church leaders is to help people mature in Christ.
Cooperative followers greatly ease the burden of leadership.
Cooperative conduct is not only a joy to leaders, but it is
profitable for the whole body. It is for our own sake that we
should obey and submit to God-appointed leaders. Does your
conduct give your leaders reason to report joyfully about you?
February 7 "All the paths of the Lord
are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are
they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies" (Psalm
25:10, AMP).
Believe by faith that God is directing you.
Remain faithful to His way and allow His promises to give you
peace in every situation.
February 8
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God" (John 1:1).
The Word of God is the
foundation for everything. Get to know God and His character
through His Word. What you'll find, will change your life.
February 9 "But immorality (sexual vice)
and all impurity [of lustful, rich, wasteful living] or
greediness must not even be named among you, as is fitting and
proper among saints (God's consecrated people)…" (Ephesians 5:3,
AMP).
Immoral behavior causes pain that can be hard to
overcome. But God has called you out of darkness. He has set you
apart as holy to be used greatly by Him. Don't give up your
destiny! Chase after purity and He'll take you places you've
never dreamed of.
February 10 "For I
reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy
to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us"
(Romans 8:18).
As you walk with God, He will show His
mercy and goodness in every situation. Continue to have faith by
living out the principles found in God's Word. Your reward is
greater than any suffering you go through.
February 11 "And Jesus summoned to Him His twelve
disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean
spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and
all kinds of weakness and infirmity" (Matthew 10:1, AMP).
You have power through Jesus Christ! He has given you the
power to defeat the devil and his influence. Exercise the power
that is within you and defeat the enemy every time.
February 12 "Stand fast therefore in the
liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled
again with the yoke of bondage" (Galatians 5:1).
Stay
rooted in your freedom. Don't go back to the bondage of sin.
Speak the Word of God and find unspeakable joy.
February 13 "Be careful for nothing; but in every
thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God" (Philippians 4:6).
God
loves you so much that He wants to take away your burdens. Give
Him your worries in exchange for His everlasting peace.
February 14 "If then you have been raised
with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from
the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that
are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God"
(Colossians 3:1, AMP).
When you accept Jesus, your old
life passes away. Keep your mind and heart on Him and live life
in abundance.
February 15 "The
righteousness of the blameless shall rectify and make plain
their way and keep it straight, but the wicked shall fall by
their own wickedness" (Proverbs 11:5, AMP).
When you are
in right-standing with God, you are living a lifestyle of faith.
No matter if you've made mistakes, the Word of God will direct
you in every decision and turn mistakes into triumphs.
February 16 "Blessed is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of
sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his
delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night" (Psalm 1:1-2).
When you seek
God's Word for wisdom, you are setting yourself up to prosper.
Devote yourself to Him and His plan for you and you will
experience abundance in every area of your life.
February 17 "Be not afraid of them [their faces],
for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord" (Jeremiah 1:8,
AMP).
You have nothing to fear when God is on your side.
He will prepare you for every battle you face. Remember, the
fight is fixed! You have the victory!
February 18
"And you will be hated by all for My name's sake, but he who
perseveres and endures to the end will be saved [from spiritual
disease and death in the world to come]" (Matthew 10:22, AMP).
Jesus promises that He will care for those who defend His
ways. Stand on God's promises when others attack your faith. It
will allow God to protect your most precious treasure—your
heart.
February 19 "But ye, beloved,
building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the
Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God…" (Jude 20-21).
Praying in the Spirit (praying in tongues) is a way to build
your faith and develop an intimate relationship with God. It is
during our time of fellowship with Him that we become more like
Him and have to ability to share His love with others.
February 20 "Beloved, follow not that which
is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God:
but he that doeth evil hath not seen God" (3 John 11).
Please God by choosing to think on good things. You will find
that God's grace will lift you up and give you a peace you've
never known.
February 21 And after
you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who
imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own]
eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make
you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and
strengthen, and settle you" (1 Peter 5:10, AMP).
When
Satan comes against you, stand strong and know that you aren't
alone. God promised to give us His strength for our weakness.
Shape your thinking with the Word of God and you'll get the
results you're looking for!
February 22
"Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one
another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and
disregards the offenses of others" (1 Peter 4:8, AMP).
Love has to be the highest priority on your spiritual "to-do"
list. It allows others to learn of God's unfailing love. Don't
let what someone else has done to you cheat you out of God's
blessings. Choose love and gain favor with God and man.
February 23 "Ye ask, and receive not,
because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts"
(James 4:3).
Sometimes we pray for things that don't line
up with the Word of God by mistake. Give your prayer a good
foundation with scriptures found in God's Word. Seek His will
and watch Him move in your situation.
February 24
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a
cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin
which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us…" (Hebrews 12:1).
Sin is
designed to block what God wants to do in your life. Don't let
the devil tie you down in traps of sin. Live in the freedom God
has for you and experience the overflow of His blessings.
February 25 "For verily I say unto you,
That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed,
and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23).
The key to removing the barriers in your life is to speak to
them! Use the power that's within you. Speak to the obstacles in
your life and get the devil out of the way!
February 26 "We give praise and thanks to You, O
God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare Your
Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your
wonders" (Psalm 75:1, AMP).
Take time every day to think
about the good things in your life. Come to God with
thanksgiving and He will bless you.
February 27
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written,
I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak…" (2 Corinthians 4:13).
Through the name
of Jesus, you have the power to use your faith to speak to
situations. But you have to believe that your words matter.
Speak the Word of God and change your world!
February 28 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of
God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man
defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple
of God is holy, which temple ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).
Like a sanctuary in a church or place of worship, your heart
is a sanctuary for Jesus. It is a place where He can speak to
you. And like a gardener, you must maintain your sanctuary by
committing to His ways. Don't allow trash to enter your temple
by letting other duties crowd your time with God. Savor every
moment with Him and He will show you how to simplify your life.
February 29
"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly
out of temptations" (2 Peter 2:9).
As Christians, we must understand that
temptation, or pressure applied to our thinking, is designed to
separate us from God. When you are tempted to sin, understand
that God is available to help you resist, if you turn to Him for
strength.
