Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!
Psalms 119:11 (NKJV)

International Church daily devotional,  April 2018

April 1
For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous) (1 John 5:3, AMP).
The Word of God and the orders He gives you in your spirit are not burdensome or oppressive. Everything He tells you is for your good and for your victory. Only He knows what it takes to live in victory in this present evil world. He can do the seemingly impossible, even in the middle of darkness, and if you follow His instructions, commands and precepts from His Word, you can too!

April 2
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12).
If you are going to live for God, you are going to run into persecution somewhere along the way. The devil is going to make sure of it! The more you grow to be like Jesus and the more Godís glory is revealed through your life, the bigger threat you are to Satanís kingdom. When persecution comes your way, rejoice and be glad. It will not hurt you if you remain in joy.

April 3
Be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goests (Joshua 1:7).
If you are going to fight the good fight of faith, you must continually draw courage from the Word. Like Joshua, allow the Word to change you from a coward to an overcomer. Then, you can march into battle and slay the giants in your land.

April 4
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared (Exodus 23:20).
When you are in Godís will, He sends angels ahead of you to guard you; therefore, donít worry or be fearful! He has already made provisions for your safety and to keep you on the right track.

April 5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5)
Abiding in Jesus isnít something that comes automatically. Itís a lifestyle that involves discipline and effort. Make a decision to give your self to the things of God. Surround yourself with His Word. Listen to preaching and teaching tapes while youíre getting dressed, driving to work, preparing dinner, exercising, cleaning house and when you go to bed. Listen to the Word of God anytime, anywhere!

April 6
Unto what is the kingdom of God lie? And whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it (Luke 13:18-19).
A seed planted in the ground doesnít grow all at once. It grows a little all the time until it accomplishes what it was created to do. The same is true for you when it comes to your growth in the kingdom of God. You grow constantly, 24 hours a day, a little all the time until you fulfill Godís plan for your life.

April 7
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9).
More than anything else, God wants you to fellowship with Him. It would mean so much for you to just go to God seeking His face rather than His hand. Your heavenly Father longs for you to just want to be with Him. Draw near to God today and partake of His very nature.

April 8
The cares and anxieties of the world, and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless (Mark 4:19, AMP).
Seemingly innocent things in your everyday life can stunt your spiritual growth. Donít become entangled with the affairs of life to the point that you are neglecting your commitment to God. Nothing is as important as spending time in prayer and in the Word with the Father.

April 9
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).
Jesus laid down His life for you by dying. However, He is asking you to lay down your life in a different way. Instead of living for yourself, you live to please God. You allow your life to be guided by His love. If love leads you to the person next door, you follow. When love calls you to intercede for someone in need, you yield. Commit today to lay down your own life and take up the love life.

April 10
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12).
The devil is not going to let go of any area of your lifeóhealth, finances or anything elseówithout a fight. He is not going to give it up unless you force him. Donít sit there and allow him to steal the blessings of God out from under you. Get violent enough to do something about it! Get so committed to the things of God that you will withstand any attempt to take them away from you.

April 11
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; that in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge (1 Corinthians 1:4-5).

Because you were called into fellowship with Jesus, everything you do and say has the potential to be enriched, or made fuller and more meaningful, by Him. Expand your knowledge and success by tapping into Godís anointing.

April 12
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies" (Proverbs 31:10).

A godly man will seek a woman who has character and whose virtue stems from her intimate relationship with God.

April 13
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh (2 Corinthians 10:3).

So many Believers are losing the battles in their lives because they are fighting the wrong enemy. Satan and his demons are your enemies. They are behind every personal affront you encounter. The next time someone hurts you, donít let yourself get sidetracked into fighting them. Instead, bind the spirit behind them! Put flesh and blood battles behind and war with the weapons of the Spirit.

April 14
I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one (1 John 2:14).

If you have been feeling like a failure lately, renew your mind to the Word of God that says youíre a success. Every time a challenge comes up, respond by saying, ďPraise God, I can beat this thing because Iím an overcome in Jesus!Ē Let the Word abide in your heart. It will make you a winner!

April 15
Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord (Psalm 112:1,7).

Donít wait until disaster strikes before you start trying to establish yourself on the Word. If you make a habit of delighting in Godís Word, you will have a heart that is fixed. Further, you will be able to make it through disastrous situations without losing your balance. Establish yourself now, and be ready before the devil breaks into your house.

April 16
Blessed art thou...for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 16:17).

In the natural we learn by using our five senses and our logical abilities to gather information and sot it out. In the Kingdom of God, thereís another kind of knowing. It is one that works its way from the inside out instead of from the outside in. Itís called revelation knowledge. If you are hungry for revelation knowledge, position yourself to receive it by meditating the Word, praying, and fellowshipping with the Lord.

April 17
Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father] (Ephesians 5:1, AMP).

God used words that were directly related to His inner image to create the universe. Since you are made in His image and likeness, you have the same ability to create new things and change old things. What you need to use as the basis for your inner image and for the words you speak is the Word of God. It will work for you to change your life and circumstances as surely as it did for your heavenly Father.

April 18
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (1 Corinthians 13:13).

God is love. Therefore, when you release love into a situation, you have released God into it. He becomes responsible for its success. Release love on the stubborn problems in your life. Itís the one solution they will not be able to resist.

April 19
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples) (John 15:8).

The fruit Jesus is referring to is lives being restored and healed by the power of God. When Believers minister healing and deliverance like Jesus on the earth, that brings God glory. Letís impress the world with Jesus and give God the glory today!

April 20
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christís sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:31-32).

Donít be critical of other members of the body of Christ. It only weakens us all. Instead, allow the power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to remove any insensitivity. Then, make a commitment to live the law of love.

April 21
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14).

God does not want you to think, speak, act like or depend on the world. Position yourself in righteousness and separate yourself to God so He can fulfill His role as your Heavenly Father!

April 22
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:14-15).
Fear and faith are opposing spiritual forces. Jesus came to set you free from fear. Constantly thinking about Godís ever-present love for you will cast fear out of your life forever!

April 23
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
No matter what trouble you may experience in your life, donít allow it to triumph over you. Your victory is in Christ, Who enables you to overcome every negative thing that comes your way. When you maintain the victory that Christ won for you, the knowledge of Godís goodness will spread to all people!

April 24
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant (Psalm 35:27).
Donít believe the Devilís lies; it is Godís will for you to prosper! He enjoys it when His children lay hold of His promises.

April 25
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (Titus 1:15-16).
A rebellious person is unable to perceive the truth of Godís Word. His mind exists in a perpetual state of darkness and sin. Cleanse your mind daily by washing it with Godís Word.

April 26
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up angerĒ (Proverbs 15:1).
Choose your words carefully, because they determine how people respond to you. Remember, speaking kindly in response to those who speak harshly to you will calm the situation and produce a more favorable outcome.

April 27
This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul (Deuteronomy 26:16).
In order to experience true power in your life, you must obey God when He speaks to you. Obedience is compliance with Godís commands, restrictions and instructions. It means that you hear Godís voice and immediately act out on what He says to do. Serve God wholeheartedly and watch Him show out in your life!

April 28
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healedĒ (1 Peter 2:24).
Jesus has already paid the price for your healing and deliverance from every type of sickness and disease. He was made sickness and sin so that you could be made healed and be the righteousness of God. Lay hold of whatís yours!

April 29
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons (Galatians 4:4-5).
God sent Jesus to earth at an appointed season. You, too, were born at the right time; youíre not a mistake. God has a plan just for you for this specific point in history. Seek His face daily to uncover His path for your life.

April 30
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).
Donít waste your time and energy fighting natural conditions instead of supernatural causes. You are a soldier in Godís army and your battles are not of flesh and blood, but of the spirit. Therefore, put on your full armor and take your place in the ranks of the faithful.
